There are about twenty techniques of Painting (binder) with water - (as many as there are families of gums, glues and components that can be dissolved in water), whether natural or synthetic in polar phase, and at least as much paint in solvent phase so I speak in this book N°1 about at least 40 painting techniques usable by the modern painter.
I would give you in this BOOK 1, all the recipes that I have tested, formulated or developed during my research that I have since 1988. This represents more than 250 originals recipes, tips and tricks of all techniques combined, that you can adapt to your work.
You will find explained in detail, the preparation of many supports of the painter, the realization of all the sizes, grounds, varnishes, mediums, and fixatives of the painter without forgetting the grinding in detail of the paints and the preparation of the minerals and their levigation of course.

I had the chance to discover David's books and to participate in an internship. I am a painter and very user of old techniques, watercolor and engraving. David is a virtuoso and playful teacher. He gives all his recipes generously, but like in the kitchen when you find yourself alone, you have to stay determined to make it happen.
The book is superb
I have already leafed through several chapters, brilliant! just what I was missing! in addition, this large format for such a large volume, is better to be placed and opened on the reading table than the third smaller one which tends to close on my little fingers :-). What work and what knowledge. There is no such book in English?
I'm going to go and savor it all.
